Refund Policy
Refunds and cancellations.
Because IOTA provides custom research, strategy, implementation, and time-reserved services, refund eligibility depends on the project type, project stage, and whether work has started.
When work starts immediately
Project proposals, invoices, or checkout notes may state when work is expected to begin. If a service is marked as starting immediately, same day, or within 24 hours after payment and intake, work may begin as soon as payment is received and the required information is available. Once intake review, research, analysis, drafting, setup, or implementation begins, the payment becomes non-refundable except where required by law.
Audits, research, and strategy
Payments for audits, keyword research, strategy reviews, and similar research-based services are refundable only before work begins. Once research, review, analysis, preparation, or drafting has started, payments are non-refundable.
Implementation projects
Deposits for implementation projects are non-refundable once work begins. If a client cancels mid-project, the client remains responsible for work completed, time reserved, and any approved expenses up to the cancellation date.
Monthly retainers
Monthly retainers are billed in advance and are non-refundable once the billing period begins. Future billing can be cancelled with written notice before the next billing date.
Client delays
If a client delays access, assets, approvals, or feedback, the project timeline may pause or extend. Client delays do not automatically qualify for a refund.
No guaranteed outcomes
Refunds are not provided solely because a client does not achieve a specific ranking, revenue target, sales outcome, traffic level, or business result.
Billing concerns
Clients should contact IOTA first through the contact form or an agreed project channel to resolve billing concerns before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.
